I Am So Lonely

As a single Christian I am so lonely. All my friends have their husbands to talk to and II feel like I have no one to talk to about my faith or anything else for that matter.

The first thing I want to you do is to train yourself not to compare where you are at to others. Don't look at people who are married or dating or whatever and think… they have someone to talk to and I don't… it will get you no where and will not help you accomplish your dreams… You are not them… but you are you and God has you right where He wants you so don't look to the left or to the right just keep looking up…

But there is something you can do… If you feel that way… there are other people who feel that way… find those people and do something about it… Be the kind of person that when you see a problem you are not going to sit around and complain about it but you are going to do something about it… Ask the Lord what He wants you to do about that problem. The world is full of problems but we have everyone we need to find the solutions to our problems. Think bigger… dream God sized dreams… Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.

  1. Hope says:

Oh ya! I can so relate. I used to feel VERY lonely. No one to pray with, no one to love, no one to lean on. That “seek first” verse got me big time. Today I am completely His and I’m not lonely. Do I get to “feel” lonely sometimes … sure do but even married people feel lonely sometimes. Seek first …. and all this will be given … and more.

  2. This is so good. Even for those of us who are lonely, but not necessarily single… I think many in Christian Leadership find themselves “alone” in the fishbowl. I think your words could apply to their circumstances as well.
