I never step on scales, not because I am afraid of the number, but it seldom changes so its a waste of time. With food allergies my diet doesn't change much. I haven't eaten refined sugar in over four years. The same goes for white flour, yeast, and anything fermented.
Oddly enough, with my diet constant, I have been finding my mid-section growing. The other day I stepped on the scale out of curiosity and was…12 lbs heavier than I was last year at this time. I am normally between 160-165 pounds, and today I am 177lbs.
I know how this happened – I stopped exercising, completely.
No guilt, no fad diet, no over-the-moon promises – just affirming that change is necessary both for my health…and then my waist line.
