You are enough. God says in Christ you are enough. The Bible says in Christ you are enough. I wasted too much time wondering if I was enough and now I choose to believe that in Christ I am enough. You have enough money, you are pretty enough, you are smart enough, you are strong enough, you are brave enough, you are enough…
The Bible is full of scriptures that speak to the core of our identity and when we catch a revelation of who God has called us to be we do not get so caught up in How God wants us to do that? Meditate on the things that God’s Word wants you to be defined by. As John Ortberg says meditating is like reverse-worry, if you can worry you can meditate.
When we are true to the definition that God has given us we live it wherever we go. It’s who we are; we can’t get away from it. In fact whether you realize it or not the person God created you to be is the person you are today. You have everything at your disposal to walk in His fullness for your life. Although you may not know what that is or how to describe who you are, you have been being who you are your whole life. But there is a power that comes when we let the limitation of labels and the things we have become defined by go and choose to walk unhindered with God in your calling.

Thank you for all the beautiful reminders this week, that I am whole, not- labeled, special, creative, weigh enough, that I am me and that’s simply okay. I am wonderfully made.
Yes we are good enough. Sometimes I think this means that I can let myself get nice and comfy in who I am, and that’s it. Sometimes I start “settling” in with this thought and feeling, and them I remember that yes, God loves us just the way we are and (oh yeah, almost forgot)loves us enough not to leave us the way we are. And so with true faith in God, comes true and constant change in us. As I grow in God, I eat less junkfood. I know this sounds silly, but it’s true. I realize that my body is a very important tool that God has created so that I can help others and show them who He is. And so if I mistreat this body and do not respect it, whether its through bad eating habits or bad sexual habits and so on, how can I do justice to what God wants to do with me. And so I try to view this body of mine as God’s temple. Wow! By allowing yourself to view it that way, how can you not love yourself and be amazed with what He has created in all of us. You see, I truly believe our bodies are given to us to individualize our ways of communicating who God is. We are in constant transformation because God wants it that way. So, once in a while, when I look in the mirror and say “I wish I looked better”, I wonder if that kind of comment or way of thinking implies that I think God is not that great of a artist/creator? I wonder if this makes sense to anyone else?
Oh! one more thing…my husband John just said something that made alot of sense to me (time to celebrate:}), really I’m serious….he said that “we are good enough just the way God has created us, but we may not be using our bodies the way He intended”. I like that.
