Last night, Nick Foligno scored his first NHL goal – and in tribute to his father, he performed the patented "Foligno Leap" that was his dad’s trademark moment when he scored a goal.
After the game he said…
"That was a thing the guys wanted me to do," said Foligno. "That was also a tribute to do for dad because he had a long career.
"I definitely won’t be doing that anymore."
I have an obvious soft spot for moments like these.
Yesterday our team attended a day to grow with some area pastors. It was a good conference, but my dad knocked it out of the park.
Loved seeing him in his element, inspiring pastors and leaders.
Goes to show you that you can step into your destiny without stepping on another’s toes. If you have the humility, patience, & hunger to learn perhaps, just perhaps you don’t have to plant that church, you can have something of great value presented to you – when the time is right.
As much as I love church plants, I think that just as much ink or blog pixels need to be written on the subject of healthy transitions within the local church.
To me, when transition is done right, well that is something to jump about.
