The New Me

I feel the need to inform you all that I finally did it… I finally took the plunge… I jumped off the diving board… I leaped off the cliff… I did what I have been contemplating for years…

I changed my hair colour… What? Did you think it was going to be something deeper?

Well it is actually a big deal… if you have ever been REALLY REALLY blonde you will know what I mean… I have been colouring my hair blonde for 10 years… I love being blonde but the longer I dyed it the lighter and lighter it got… I still love it but I felt it was time for a change… it’s high maintenance. But with my platinum blonde hair I stood out like a sore thumb… I could be spot instantly in a crowd… sitting in church there are only 2 other blondes like me and one of them is my sister and the other my best friend… I never really realized this as a blonde but now that I am not blonde I realize how much I really did stand out.

Anyways It was time… but I went to church last night with my new look and everyone just walked right passed me… No one recognized me… I could be spotted from across the auditorium before and now I am just like everyone else… it’s a weird feeling…  I love my new colour… every time I look in the mirror I love it more and more… I really love the change but I don’t like people just walking right by me like they don’t even know me…

So that is why I feel the need to give you a sneak peak… So if you see me tomorrow you can just say hello and not make me feel like I need to say… it’s me Lori:)

    Hi Lori,
I absolutley love it!! And sorry, I’m one of those people who walked right passed you. I think the new color and style suit you so well. Seeing you from behind, you look completely different but when walking towards you face to face, it’s still you. You are still your beautiful self. I’m so happy to hear that you are enjoying the new look. I find it amazing how making a change, regardless of how small or big, can be so refreshing. Enjoy, Enjoy!
    love you lots
    many blessings,
    Shelley

I saw Ally hanging on to the leg of this pretty woman (saw her from the back) and thought, hmm this must be a very close relative. Later you waved to me from the back and I noticed your hair was shorter but didn’t want to interupt your worship to tell you I liked it as for the colour change, I thought it was just my old eyes. But you, my friend, stand out from the crowd no matter what colour or length your hair is. Your inward and outward beauty are what make you stand out. You can run, but you can’t hide. I love the new look as much as the old look and I admire your courage! You are truly refreshing.
