I love how the message pens that we have received, key word, both the generous gift of his life and the urgent task of passing it on to others who receive it by entering into obedient trust in Jesus. It isn’t one or the other, but both.
Romans 1:18-32
Today was about reading how ignoring God leads to a downward spiral. I particularly resonated with the notion that sexual confusion leads to the abuse and defilement of each other. How when lust takes over and pushes love out of the way, we treat people like products rather then…people with their own set of beliefs and comfort zones. It even goes onto say how we can get to a point in our life where we don’t care about God in the least, rather we hand out prizes to those who do the worst things best. Oscars anyone?
Romans 2
Judgmental criticism of others is a well-known way of escaping detection in your own crimes and misdemeanors. But God isn’t so easily diverted. Ouch. As a dad I love the fact that God is kind, but not soft. I love the metaphor of how he takes us by the hand, firmly, and leads us into radical life-change. Lastly, doing not hearing is what makes the difference with God.

Amen all the way as usual!
