Day Two

2 Samuel 22:31
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.

Genesis 20:16
To Sarah he said, "I am giving your brother a thousand shekels of silver. This is to cover the offense against you before all who are with you; you are completely vindicated."

When I read that I think about the people who have lost a loved one, I think about that baby who’s Mom jumped off the bridge with, people facing the loss of a job, I think about the children dying of Aids in Africa and I wonder if they would see God as their sheild, if they would see His way as perfect?

The reality is that we are all going to go through various degrees of pain and tragedy in our life and the one thing we can count on in the midst of it all is God is there. God does not want those kids to be dying of Aids, He does not want people suffering but when we are suffering He is there to give us strength and help and God can make meaning out of the things we have been through.

As I read the words completely vindicated I am reminded that we have all been completely vindicated through Christ. Our debts have been paid, our sins have been forgiven and we are completely vindicated.
